What is K3 Spark Mineral?

K3 spark mineral is a dietary supplement that claims to offer a range of health benefits, including inducing ketosis, improving energy levels, better mental clarity, and reducing inflammation. But is this true?

One question that comes to our mind is whether one can lose weight by inducing ketosis with K3 spark mineral without following any diet or exercise? Are there reviews available that support these claims? The claims seem too good to be true.

Well, K3 spark mineral keto pills & gummies claims to induce ketosis & weight loss through several available reviews. Here we review if this is actually possible.

What is Ketosis?

First, let us understand what ketosis is. We all know about the ketogenic diet, often referred to as “keto,” a low-carb, high-fat, moderate protein diet has been shown to promote weight loss, and enhance energy, and mental clarity. It is also reported to provide certain beneficial effects in few health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease and even some types of cancer.

The underlying principle of the keto diet is to force the body into a state of ketosis, where it starts to burn fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates.

Studies suggest that the ketogenic diet can also improve various health markers, such as blood sugar control and cholesterol levels. However, it’s important to note that the long-term health effects of the ketogenic diet are still being studied. Some experts warn that high fat intake can increase the risk of heart disease.

Consulting with a healthcare professional before starting a ketogenic diet or any keto supplement is highly recommended to determine if it is safe and appropriate for you.

How Does Ketosis Work?

When you eat a diet that is high in carbohydrates, your body uses glucose (a type of sugar) from carbohydrates as its primary source of energy.

When you limit your carbohydrate intake, as in the ketogenic diet, your body is forced to find an alternative source of energy. This leads to the production of ketones, which are produced from the breakdown of fatty acids in the liver.

When the level of ketones in the blood is high enough, your body enters a state of ketosis and begins to use ketones for energy instead of glucose.

Therefore, by restricting carbohydrates and eating a high amount of fat, the body is encouraged to burn its own stored fat for fuel, which can lead to weight loss.

What are K3 Spark Mineral Ingredients? - The Historical Ingredients

The K3 spark mineral contains the following ingredients as per the available information in Feb 2023 in various reviews and on its bottle as available in Amazon and other sources. We present below the K3 spark mineral reviews of each ingredient. However, do visit the next section wherein 2024, the K3 spark mineral ingredients appear to be entirely different.

Beta-Hydroxybutyrate

Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is the major ketone body present in the K3 spark mineral. It is an exogenous ketone responsible for weight management through inducing ketosis.

Obese individuals show two types of fats – subcutaneous and visceral fat. It is the visceral fat that is most dangerous leading to cardiovascular and other problems.

In a recent randomized clinical trial conducted on Japanese adults in 2023, D-BHB (a proprietary product) intake (2.9g) for 12 weeks daily resulted in a significant reduction of visceral fat, body weight, and BMI.

Additionally, those under 50 years of age also reported reduced abdominal circumference and total body fat % (1). Surprisingly, all this was without the need to diet or exercise, which is amazing. However, it is important to understand that not all individuals are alike, and physical activity and exercise are equally important considerations as diet.

Magnesium

Magnesium is required for muscle and nerve function & inadequate levels can result in cardiovascular, metabolic, and skeletal abnormalities.

Calcium

Calcium is essential for building and maintaining strong bones and teeth.

Sodium

Sodium is important for maintaining the proper balance of water and minerals and for muscle and nerve function.

Potassium

Potassium is an essential and important mineral that helps regulate the body’s fluid balance and muscle contraction and in lowering blood pressure.

Phosphorus

Phosphorus helps repair damaged tissues and cells and plays a role in building bones and muscle nerve function. It also helps kidneys to filter out waste.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has beneficial antioxidant effects and helps in weight loss, lowering blood sugar, and lowering cholesterol levels.

Iron

Iron is used to make hemoglobin, a protein that transports oxygen in the blood. It also helps in muscle and brain function.

Other Natural Ingredients

Several other natural ingredients have been reported to be present in K3 spark mineral though the actual ingredients have not been verified.

Mainly, the K3 spark mineral is a blend of three key minerals: potassium, magnesium, and potassium citrate. These minerals play important roles in various bodily functions and are often deficient in modern diets.

By supplementing with K3 Spark Mineral, users can ensure that they are getting the proper levels of these minerals to support optimal health. Additionally, it contains BHB which helps burn fat.

However, different websites report different K3 spark mineral ingredients. The product image shown is also different with an entirely different composition. Then why the same name? What is the mystery behind it?

As per the customer reviews on the Amazon website, caffeine is not listed as one of its ingredients. So, it improves stamina and energy with herbal ingredients only.

Further, as per the customer reviews on Amazon, the product contains natural ingredients like Apple cider vinegar, Cinnamon bark, and Garcinia cambogia. It has been also questioned where the mineral is that the name indicates.

K3 Spark Mineral Ingredients & Safety: The Inconsistencies

Several K3 spark mineral reviews are available on its ingredients, scientific claims, efficacy etc. of this dietary supplement. Many of them, as it appears, are sponsored claims or with affiliate links.

In a 2024 review (2), it is reported that the ingredients used in K3 spark mineral, that include vitamins and minerals, are indeed adhering to USFDA regulated purity benchmarks. The ingredients have been shown as oat bran powder, fennel seed extract, Cascara sagrada bark powder (fruit), Buckthorn bark extract, Pumpkin seed, Cayenne pepper, Licorice root, Rhubarb, Acai berry, Senna and Prune juice. At the same time, the report questions the efficacy of such a low dose of oat bran used for health purposes. However, the paramount questions remain that how this supplement is claiming to induce ketosis and fat loss. None of the ingredient reported produces the formation of any of the ketone bodies, hence the scientific claims become questionable. Moreover, there are toxicities reported with Senna and Cascara. Both Senna and Cascara Sagrada bark are considered to be toxic to the liver.

Further, Illuminate labs (3) shows the ingredients to be similar to the 2024 article. The bottle shown in Amazon clearly shows the claims of persons getting into ketosis. But without a keto BHB, how can a person get into ketosis?

We would like to bring your attention to several reviews published in the past that reports altogether different ingredients for K3 spark mineral. For example, when we reviewed K3 spark mineral in 2023, the ingredients included beta hydroxybutyrate (a ketone body) along with magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, apple cidar vinegar, iron and other natural ingredients.

Not only us, but other websites also too reported a different composition for K3 spark mineral. Outlook India reported the ingredients as apple cidar vinegar, forskolin, bioperine, etc (4). It is pertinent to note here that outlook India deleted its previous reviews on K3 spark mineral (5) typically after the google algorithmic update. The reasons for the same are not clear.

A Reddit review reported the ingredients as Mg, Zn, Selenium (6).

Does this mean that the manufacturers of K3 spark mineral keep changing the ingredients but the claims of getting into ketosis and further fat loss remains similar? This is highly questionable.

There are several articles that report the claims to be false. A Harvard Medical student discovering and celebrities using K3 spark mineral for weight management turned out to be a false claim as reported (7).

Which company manufactures or distributes & from where to buy K3 Spark Mineral?

Zelso Nutrition

K3 spark mineral, sold on Amazon, is claimed to be manufactured by Zelso Nutrition. When we searched Zelso Nutrition on the search engine, we did not come across any website or further information for this manufacturer.

Interestingly, the ingredients reported by a consumer showed very different ingredients in the actual product delivered. These included oats bran powder, fennel seed extract, Cascara sagrada bark powder, Buckthorn bark extract, Pumpkin seed, Licorice juice, Prune juice, and some other natural ingredients.

Further, it was reported by Outlook India sometime back that the ingredients delivered were different from the ingredients shown for the K3 spark mineral which includes beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB, the main ketone body inducing weight loss) & minerals. However, Outlook India has recently removed this post for reasons not clear (4).

K3 Spark mineral is available on Amazon and you can buy it from here.

S.O. Labs

It has been reported that SO Labs is responsible for distributing K3 spark mineral. However, the company manufacturing the same has not been revealed (3).

Additionally, neither the distributor nor the manufacturer information is available when searching on various search engines.

It has been claimed to have no side effects due to its natural ingredients. There are no artificial flavors or colors. Further, it is gluten-free and lactose-free. So, those with gluten sensitivity or lactose intolerance can easily consume it without any adverse effects.

However, one has to keep in mind that it is a dietary supplement and they are regulated as a type of food, rather than drugs due to which there is a wide range of quality and potency issues.

Additionally, it is important to note that dietary supplements are not a substitute for a healthy diet, and they should never be used to replace essential nutrients that can be obtained from eating a well-balanced diet.

All things considered, one must understand that not all dietary supplements are safe or effective. It’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before starting to use any new supplement, especially if you have a medical condition, is pregnant, or are taking any prescription medications.

What are the downsides to K3 spark mineral?

There are several downsides to this product.

Second, there is a lot of variation with respect to the ingredients listed for this supplement on various websites.

Third, scientific evidence or research studies on its safety and efficacy have not been established. Several news media also report these keto gummies to be scam.

Fourth, it is a dietary supplement, and the dietary supplement industry in the US is a complex and rapidly evolving landscape, and it’s important for consumers to be informed and cautious when choosing and using these products.

The Final Words

Overall, K3 Spark Mineral is a unique and innovative product that claims to offer a range of health benefits. Whether you’re looking to improve your energy levels, support optimal hydration, reduce inflammation, and most importantly fat burn, this supplement may be worth considering. However, one has to consider the several downsides and unverified claims listed above and that is the reason we call them mystery pills and gummies. And finally, as with any dietary supplement, it’s always important to consult with a healthcare provider before starting to use it.
