Evelien de Gier is a Dutch national who has lived in Haiti since 1983. A physical therapist by training, she became a social entrepreneur and advocate of the “Trade, not Aid” movement. Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2011, and on insulin since 2014, Evelien was able to turn around her health and get off insulin in 2019, while keeping her blood values in the healthy range. She became a health coach and now teaches people worldwide with her story on how to reverse their Type 2 Diabetes.
